Kia EV9 Trims
Options on the new Kia EV9 are plentiful. Whether you're looking for more speed, more power, more range, more fuel-efficiency, or simply more features, the new EV9 can be configured to fit your needs. Available trim levels include the:
- The EV9 Light: Features an EPA-estimated 230 mile range with the 76.1 kWh battery and an electric motor making 215-hp & 258 lb-ft of torque. There's seven-passenger seating with a second row bench seat, SynTex seat trim and 19-inch alloy wheels.
- EV9 Light Long Range: The EV9 Light Long Range comes with an estimated range of 304 miles from a 99.8 kWh battery, six-passenger seating and second row captain's chairs. There's also a smart power liftgate, as well as heated and ventilated power front seats.
- EV9 Wind: The EV9 Wind has an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles from a 99.8 kWh battery that delivers 379-hp & 443 lb-ft. of torque. When you first lay eyes on the Kia EV9 you can tell that this is an SUV that embodies the rugged yet sophisticated style of a flagship SUV. It exudes a muscular stance with defining characteristics such as its Tiger Face grille accompanied by its futuristic LED headlights. The pattern of these headlights can even be customized on select models with the new Kia Star Map LED animated Digital Pattern Lighting, a first for Kia. The front fascia of the new EV9 creates an overall bold, powerful, and futuristic stance.
In the rear, you will instantly notice the sleek taillights that draw attention to the corners of the vehicle. To add to this sleek design on the sides you will find subtle flush door handles with automatic deployment to continue the clean and futuristic design of the EV9.

But how much cargo space does this equate to? With its clever boxy shape, the EV9 is able to offer ~20.2 cubic feet of cargo space with all three rows raised and comfortably seating up to 7 passengers. When both of the rear rows are folded down you are looking at an amazing ~81.9 cubic feet.

There are two passenger variants of the EV9. There's the 7-passenger version as well as an optional 6-passenger version that includes second row captain's chairs instead of the bench row. Thanks to the brilliant design and shape of the EV9 made possible by Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), a dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV) platform, the EV9 features a spacious three-row interior that comfortably seats all occupants.
Inside the Kia EV9, everyone is considered first-class. Occupants from the driver to the third row passengers all have ample space and legroom. First and second row residents are treated to an available "Relaxation Mode" which offers power operated leg rests (shown above). The second-row even has available 8-way power adjusted seating enhanced with heating and cooling. The list of luxury features doesn't end there. High-power USB-C outlets can be found throughout the cabin to allow for easy-access device charging for all.
Comfort and technology are just part of the new Kia EV9. A futuristic panoramic screen is at the forefront of the EV9's interior. Made up of a pair of 12.3-inch display screens mounted side-by-side, the display operates Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriuxXM, Navigation and the EV9's climate controls.
EV9 Unique Characteristics
There are many special interior design features that can be found inside the EV9 such as the dual-level floating center console that stretches from the first to the second row. This distinctive center console offers under-tray stowage to front passengers plus cupholders and an available sliding storage console for rear passengers.
More unique interior design elements include the available EV9 swivel seats that can be found in the second row. The EV9 swivel seats are found only on the 6-seat configuration of the EV9. These rotating seats give you the ability to swivel the second row captain's chairs 180 degrees. The Kia EV9 rotating seats allow rear passengers to face each other, and they can also be of assistance to parents while getting children in and out of car seats. (Note: The Kia EV9 swivel seats are currently unavailable in the US)
EV9 Infotainment
What about the cockpit? The EV9 cockpit has been specially designed to give the driver and co-pilot a premium experience. The EV9 uses an entirely new generation of infotainment. It all comes together with a pair of 12.3-inch screens-one for the gauge cluster and a second for infotainment-with a dedicated HVAC readout between them. The EV9 cockpit has a reduced number of physical knobs and buttons that further gives the vehicle a sleek, futuristic design. However, for ease-of-use, there are still several key HVAC controls and a volume knob remaining to go along with touch-sensitive controls embedded in the dash.
